Blaze Squirewell is a visual artist from Prince George’s County, MD with a focus on digital photography. After transferring from Prince George’s Community college, Squirewell has called the Fine Arts Department at Bowie State University home for the past few years as she continued to hone her artistic skills. At the age of five years old, she knew she wanted to walk a different path than others when it came to career goals. She chose photography because she had a passion for making people feel that they are worthy all while capturing the best photos possible.
Over the past ten years, Squirewell continued to learn different approaches to making clients more comfortable in front of the lens and expand upon her photography interests. She has a passion for portrait and editorial as well as some landscape and wildlife photography. Squirewell has interned for the CEO and President of Columbia Inspired Magazine, Anika Baty-Mills. Her work has been featured in Prince George’s Community College’s art gallery and Columbia Inspired Magazine’s newsletter and website.
